THHA hosts two major events during the year: the Plum Blossom Ball in Spring and the Toronto Hakka Festival in Summer.

Plum Blossom Ball in Spring

The Inaugural Plum Blossom Ball was held on May 14, 2016 and has become an annual fund-raising event for THHA. It was an elegant evening with a sumptuous Chinese 10 course dinner banquet and spectacular entertainment.

Toronto Hakka Festival in Summer

THHA hosted the first Toronto Hakka Festival (THF) on August 9, 2024 in partnership with the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (CCCGT) as part of the Scarborough Summerfest. Since then, the THF has become an annual event for the Hakkas from all partos of the world and now living in Greater Toronto Area to learn and share our Hakka culture and heritage through food, music, dance and presentations about Hakka culture, customs and traditions.
